Kizuna Child-Parent Reunion

The Supreme Court of Japan ruled on March 15, 2018 that a child abducted from the US to Japan expressed an opinion that was unduly influenced by the taking parent. Therefore, the judges considered that the child's opinion was not objective. The judges also ruled that the retention of the child was illegal. This is a monumental ruling in the parental child abduction issue of Japan. Here is the ruling below.
